- Steel-wrapped or chew-resistant cords. Every plug-in pick here has one. Still route the cord behind furniture.
- Never fold a pad, never cover it with a blanket. Heat builds where it cannot escape.
- Puppies and dogs that chew get the self-warming beds, not the plug-in ones.
