This page is a short, plain map of where personal data actually flows on petapproves.com. Unlike some sites, we do not run user accounts or a wishlist system, so there is less to track.
Why this page is public
Most sites bury their data practices in one long privacy policy. We split ours out because pet owners searching for gear reviews deserve a plain answer, not a wall of legal text.
This page exists so anyone can check, in plain language, what actually happens to information on this site.
What flows where
- Contact form. Messages sent through /contact-me/ are stored privately in our WordPress database and emailed to our admin address. They are not shown publicly anywhere.
- Comments. Comments you post on articles are stored in WordPress and are visible on the public page, along with the name you choose to use.
- Analytics. Google Analytics 4 collects aggregated, anonymized traffic data. It is not tied to your name or any account, because this site has no accounts.
No public-facing personal data pages
Pet Approves has no user accounts, no profile pages, and no wishlist feature. There is no public page anywhere on this site that displays a visitor’s personal information.
What a stranger can learn about you here
Nothing. This site has no public profile pages, no comment history tied to an account, and no visible list of who visited or what they bought.
If you post a comment under a name, that name shows on the article. Beyond that, there is no public trace of you anywhere on Pet Approves.
What we deliberately did not build
Some of what protects your privacy here is simply what we chose not to build.
- No user accounts, so there is no profile or password to expose.
- No comment history page tying a name to everything they have ever posted.
- No newsletter or email list.
- No wish list or saved-items feature.
- No page anywhere on this site that displays a visitor’s personal data.
The systems that do see something
A few systems touch limited information as part of normal site operation.
- Host logs. Hostinger’s server logs basic request data, like every web server does.
- Google Analytics 4. Sees aggregated, anonymized traffic patterns, not your name.
- Amazon. Your browser requests product images directly from Amazon’s servers when a page loads.
- The retailer. When you click through to buy something, the retailer you land on sees that visit under its own privacy policy.
The principles, so you can hold us to them
- We collect the minimum needed to run the site, nothing more.
- We do not sell personal data to anyone.
- We do not build features whose only purpose is to profile a reader.
- We say so here if that ever changes.
Review
We revisit this page whenever we add or remove something that touches data flow. The date stamp at the top always shows the last update.
